Sam Bankman-Fried was the founder of the now-collapsed FTX Exchange after it was found to be insolvent and alledging using customer funds to support sister company Alameda Research.
As of November 2023, Bankman-Fried has been found guilty on charges related to one of the largest financial frauds in U.S. history. A New York jury convicted him of fraud in a scheme that defrauded customers and investors of at least $10 billion!
